Bangor Wedding Photographers: A Faster Album Workflow

Photographers based in Bangor serve a big part of Maine, from the Penobscot River valley to the coast and the lakes. Distances are long and seasons are short, which makes any workflow that saves hours in the off-season or the weeks after a wedding worth having.

Albums in a short season

In Maine, most weddings cluster in a few summer and early fall months, so editing and delivery come in a wave. Albums are a way to spread revenue past the wedding weekend, with design happening in the quieter weeks after. A steady album business also gives you something to offer in the quieter months, when inquiries slow and you have time to design.

If your clients live out of state, a finished book gives them something tangible to take home.

Bangor sits about an hour from Bar Harbor and the Down East coast, with the lakes within reach to the west, so a wedding you shoot out of here may be nowhere near here. A book keeps that whole journey together in one place.

Making design fast

Upload your final selects to the Folio Forever designer, and Smart Auto-Layout builds each spread for you. You then edit, swap and adjust as you like. Sending the draft while the gallery is still fresh in the couple's mind makes the review easier for them.

Work by chapter, such as getting ready, ceremony, portraits and reception. A structured selection helps both the layout and the client's review.

Name your folders consistently and keep one set of finals per wedding. When a client returns a year later for a parents album, you are not hunting for the files.

Pricing is predictable. Classic 12×24 and 16×24 albums start at $240 and lay-flat at $275, 15×30 is $300 and $335, and 20×30 is $340 and $375, with 15 spreads and a photo cover included. A short written menu showing the size, binding and cover choices is easier to decide from than a long price list.

You can add spreads at $8 to $18 each, up to 40 spreads, with leather covers at $25 and acrylic at $39. Two or three clear options are easier to present than a long list.

Client approval and quality

Share the draft and ask for one round of feedback. Each page is approved before it prints, and we print exactly what was approved, so you and your client never wonder what the finished book will look like. Tell clients what to expect in the review, such as how to flag a crop, swap a photo or ask for a different order, so the feedback you get is specific and useful.

If you are busy, the design-team polish hand-off at $99 can finish a draft for you. The photographers page covers using the online designer for client work. A dedicated trade program is not open yet, so for now you order at the standard prices and set your own client pricing.

Set a feedback deadline in your contract, such as two weeks after the draft is sent. It keeps projects from stalling and keeps your calendar predictable.

Shipping across Maine and beyond

Printing takes 5 to 7 business days after approval and payment. Delivery is Express at $60 for 5 to 7 days, Standard at $32 for 7 to 10 days or Economy at $12 for 15 to 18 days, all with tracking.

We are based in Florida and ship to Bangor, the rest of Maine and anywhere else in the United States. If a book arrives with a print or binding defect, transit damage, or anything that does not match the approved proof, report it within 14 days of delivery for a free reprint or a full refund.

Consider quoting delivery windows in your proposal so that clients can plan around an anniversary or a family visit, and share the tracking number as soon as it is available.
